American award-winning singer Khalid has dropped ”Know Your Worth (Remix)” featuring Nigerian superstar Davido and alt-R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer Tems.
US songwriter and singer Khalid Robinson has teamed up with Nigerian talents Davido and Tems(Temilade Openiyi) to release a remix ‘Know Your Worth’ first version being released in February featuring English duo Disclosure(electronic music band), an electronic music band.
The new version with Nigerian superstar Davido and alt-R&B singer Tems is a textured production containing the laid-back feel of the original release while adding elements of Afrobeats and dancehall.
This release gets the trio expounding and advising a lover against continuing a relationship where their partner treats them with contempt and less of who they are.
“You don’t know your worth. All the things I know you deserve. Say it’s not real if it doesn’t hurt. Find someone you know will put you first, someone who loves you at your worst,”.
Having won the “Best International Act” at the 2018 BET Awards, Davido has been on a roll even after he called on artists to collaborate with him on their projects.
Tems, on the other hand, is the rising Nigerian star whose voice has been compared to that of Tracy Chapman’s.
Undoubtedly talented and driven to deliver a fresh sound on the Afrobeats-dominated Nigerian music scene, she’s definitely an artist we’re keeping our eye on this year.
Khalid, who is signed to Right Hand Music Group and RCA Records, made his debut single ‘Location’ which peaked at number 16 on the US Billboard chart and got certified for quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
