Following Timaya’s quietly impressive 2017 dropping a couple solid singles and scoring a Grammy nomination for his work on Morgan Heritage’s album, Avrakedabra the dancehall maestro kicked off his 2018 with one of his best songs in a while, “Ah Blem Blem”.

Now, after two months of letting the song marinate, Timaya has finally come through with a vibrant music video, which should give “Ah Blem Blem” the push it deserves to become another hit in his impressive discography.
Produced by Micon Beatz, “Ah Blem Blem” is a mid-tempo love song that’s a refreshing change of pace from most of the tracks we’ve gotten this year. It’s not only one of the better songs of the first quarter, it remains a welcome antidote to the monotony of all the year’s shaku shaku tracks.
On the song, Timaya sings about being obsessed with his lover he calls her his sunshine, extols the beauty of her body and declares that she’s the first girl he’s ever met who’s “sweeter” than marijuana (high praise, no pun intended).

The colorful music video, which was directed by Clarence Peters, finds Timaya surrounded by a ton of beautiful women in different vibrant settings. Well, we guess he is really not as obsessed with his lover as he let on in the song.
